To use the Breville Bambino, fill the water tank, press the 1-cup button for the first use cycle, and wait for the machine to be ready. For brewing, grind your coffee to a fine, consistent size, fill and tamp the portafilter, then lock it into the group head. Press the 1 or 2 Cup button to start an automatic shot, or hold the button to start pre-infusion, then release to begin extraction and press again to stop it for manual control. 

Before First Use 

1. Fill the water tank: Lift the tank from the back of the machine and fill it with potable water to the MAX line.
2. Position the drip tray: Ensure the drip tray is correctly placed on the machine.
3. Perform a rinse cycle: Plug in the machine and press the 1 CUP button. The machine will run a first-use cycle to rinse and prime the heating system.
4. Prepare for brewing: Once the cycle is complete, the machine will be in "ready mode" with all lights illuminated.
